Animal care for puppies and kittens
During the early stages of your new pet’s life, it’s essential to keep your pet inside your home until a series of animal vaccines have been administered to prevent possible exposure to infectious diseases. As cat and dog vaccinations typically begin at seven to eight weeks of age, it’s also a good idea to actively plan your pet’s future animal care. Your new puppy or kitten will need to be seen about three to four times before six months of age.
At your pet’s first visit, we will perform a complimentary physical exam and nail trim. We’ll discuss diet, vaccination protocol, intestinal parasites, basic training, and preventative medications for fleas, ticks, and heartworm disease. In addition to this, we’ll also cover any questions or concerns that you may have about the newest addition to your family.
